JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, provides moderately complex administrative support and activities pertaining to the successful operations of the athletic department.
PRIMARY DUTIES
1. Conducts player recruitment and scouting, including viewing player films, campus tours, player evaluations, and analysis, to ensure a competitive team is obtained.
2. Assist with player contracts and transfers to maintain league regulations and compliance.
3. Prepares team logistics and travel to ensure accommodations and training camps for various athletic events and practices. Collaborating with coaches to analyze game footage, statistics, and data to help develop game plans, strategies, and tactics.
4. Initiates and/or prepares documentation related to the procurement, maintenance, and distribution of team equipment and ensures the proper upkeep of training facilities and stadiums.
5. Manage game day operations, including player arrivals, warm-ups, and liaising with officials and stadium personnel. Managing equipment inventory, maintaining gear, and ensuring players have what they need during practices and games.?
6. Assist with community relations by engaging with sponsors and the local community to build and promote team relationships.
7. Prepares and updates logs and practice reports.
8. Working closely with coaches and trainers to coordinate player development programs, individual skill development plans, and monitoring player progress.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE: 2 years’ experience providing administrative/operations support.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
General knowledge of and skill in the practical application of generally accepted office practices and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to proofread and edit written documents. Skill in various computer software packages, such as word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation programs, Internet, email and calendaring software. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to interact effectively with internal and external parties in a courteous and efficient manner. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple and continuing assignments with general instructions.
OTHER:
Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
