The Benchmark Study project kicked off in April, with Grant Thornton leading the effort. The study is expected to conclude in August.

The Student Data Readiness project launched in late March, with Huron leading the effort. The first data discovery sessions at Salisbury University completed in April.
Purpose
USM is currently growing the use of collaborative services in many areas where we are considering broad opportunities, not just administration and technology. Our approach is to produce better service and outcomes, balanced with the unique needs of each institution.

Annual Assessments
An annual assessment of each collaborative service and the USM collaborative service organization will be developed each year beginning in 2026. Assessments will be published to this area and will include accomplishments, course corrections, lessons learned, metrics/KPIs, milestones, and future year plans.

Title IX Resources: Contracts with nine vendors are now live and available to all institutions.

eLearning Shared Contracts: Demonstrations with three vendors have been completed, and next steps are being planned.

Compensation Administration Tool: Vendor demonstrations have been completed, and work on the business case is underway.

Student Data Readiness: Data discovery sessions will continue in the coming months. The next three institutions taking part are Towson University (May), Coppin State University (June), and UMBC (July).
