Oct. 30th and 31st
- "Is the
Perfect the Enemy of the Good? Barriers to Creating a Sustainable
Intergenerational Community." - Dr. Sandra Rosenbloom, an internationally
recognized transportation researcher and Director of the Urban Institute's
Innovation in Infrastructure program, will expose the conflicts between the
needs of different members of the community; differences that are often hidden
or ignored and that frequently break along age and class lines. These two
events are part of the University's ADVANCE Program for Inclusive Excellence
whose mission is "Advancing women, transforming the University, investing in a
culture of inclusive excellence." The
talk will be held on Tuesday, October 30th at 8:00 pm in the
Architecture Building, Auditorium 0204, on the University of Maryland, College
Park campus. The seminar will be held Wednesday, October 31st at
10:30 am in the Architecture Building, Dean's Conference Room 1213, on the
campus of University of Maryland, College Park.
