USM Board of Regents Committee on Audit Meets October 16
Adelphi, Md. (Oct. 13,
2017) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee
on Audit will meet at 12 noon on Monday, October 16. The meeting will take
place on the 14th floor of the Saratoga Office Building at the
University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), in the President's Conference Room.
The building is located at 220 North Arch Street in Baltimore, Md.
In public session, the committee will discuss several information items. They
include the USM fiscal year (FY) 2018 Audit Committee work plan and FY 2018 system-wide
draft financials. There also will be discussion of completed Office of
Legislative Audit activity.
The committee then will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session. In
closed session, the committee would consider issues specifically exempted in
the Open Meetings Act from the requirement for public consideration.
Those issues include legislative audit matters that are ongoing and,
therefore, confidential; discussion of investigative matters which may lead to
criminal prosecution; the calendar year 2017 internal audit plan of activity;
and the committee's separate meeting with the independent auditors and director
of internal audit.
The public session agenda and supporting materials for the prospective
closed session are available here.
