USM Regents Committee on Organization and Compensation Meets August 22
Adelphi, Md. (Aug. 17, 2017) -- The Committee on Organization and
Compensation of the University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will meet
at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22. The meeting will be held in the Chancellor's
Conference Room at the USM Office, 3300 Metzerott Road, Adelphi, MD.
The committee will vote publicly on whether to reconvene in closed session to consider items that fall under closing guidelines of the Open Meetings Act. Those items are:
Approval of collective bargaining negotiations relating to the University of Maryland, College Park and the Fraternal Order of Police; an update on ongoing collective bargaining negotiations; an information update regarding specific athletics contracts subject to review under the Board of Regents (BOR) VII-10.0 Policy; legal advice related to BOR Policy VII-10.0; and a follow-up regarding assessments of performance and compensation for presidents and the chancellor.
The committee will then meet in public session to review and vote on a compensation study performed by Sibson Consulting. Additionally, the committee will vote on a USM executive compensation philosophy and hear information items regarding a timeframe for periodic remuneration reviews and tenure policies.
