USM Regents Committees on Education Policy and Student Life; Organization and Compensation to Meet May 16
Adelphi, Md. (May 12, 2017) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of
Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life at its next meeting will
hear several information items, including updates on the William E. Kirwan
Center for Academic Innovation and annual progress reports from USM campuses on
institutional programs of cultural diversity.
The meeting will begin at
9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16 in Room 218 of the Talon Center at Coppin State
University, 2500 W. North Avenue, Baltimore MD.
Other information items
before the committee are an overview of the recent Langenberg Lecture and
Symposium on civic engagement, a legislative session summary, and campus crime

The
Committee on Organization and Compensation will meet at noon in Room 214 of the
Talon Center. In public session, the committee will hear a status report on a
compensation study being performed by Sibson Consulting. The committee then will vote on
whether to reconvene in closed session to discuss an item that falls under
closing guidelines of the Open Meetings Act. That item is a discussion of collective
