USM Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life Meets March 28
Adelphi, Md. (March 24, 2017) - The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of
Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life at its next meeting will
vote on a new academic program and hear an overview of undergraduate success in
the USM.
The meeting will begin at 9:30
a.m. on Tuesday, March 28, on the seventh floor of the Albin O. Kuhn Library on
the campus of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).
The
academic program is a master of science in nursing at Frostburg State
University, with two areas of concentration: family nurse practitioner and
psychiatric & mental health nurse practitioner.
The
report on USM undergraduate success will include information on retention and
graduation rates of first-time, full-time degree-seeking undergraduates. USM is
producing nearly seven graduates for every 10 students who enter as freshmen.
The committee also will receive an update on how students, faculty, and staff
at USM institutions and the USM Office are responding to recent immigration
policies and regulations coming from the White House.
