New USM Scorecard Offers Accountability on USM Strategic Priorities

Adelphi, Md. (Jan. 3, 2017) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) has launched a brief USM Scorecard to update the public in a quick, "at a glance" fashion on how the USM is making progress on its strategic priorities.

In this publication, the USM communicates progress made on the goals outlined in its strategic plan, Powering Maryland Forward. Approved by the Board of Regents in December 2010, the plan focuses on five key priorities to strengthen USM's leadership in student success-including college completion rates-and in academic, research, and economic innovation.

The USM Scorecard updates the work toward these goals with brief bullet points, statistics, and other data points. The USM Scorecard will be updated on a regular basis and is published in both print and electronic form. It can be found electronically via the USM web site at www.usmd.edu.
