USM Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life Meets November 15

Md. (Nov. 10, 2016) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of
Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life at its next meeting will
vote on several new academic programs and receive the opening fall 2016
enrollment report.
The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15 in the
President's Board Room, 14th floor of the Saratoga Office Building
at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). The building is located at 220
North Arch Street in Baltimore, Md.
The new academic programs are a B.S. in translational life science
technology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) and a B.S. in
homeland security at University of Maryland University College (UMUC).
In addition to the enrollment report, information items before the
committee include a report on USM faculty instructional workload and an update
on the USM "First in the World" grant to develop new mathematics pathways that
align with students' chosen majors.
