USM Regents Committee on Advancement Meets May 25

Md. (May 23, 2016) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of
Regents Committee on Advancement will meet at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25. The
meeting will be held in the Chancellor's Conference Room in the
Elkins Building at the USM headquarters, 3300 Metzerott Road, Adelphi, MD.
The
committee will vote on the approval of a revised policy on alumni associations
and a request from the University of Maryland, Baltimore to convert loan funds
to scholarships. The committee also will hear an information item on
year-to-date fundraising for fiscal year 2016.
The committee then would vote on whether to reconvene in closed
session to discuss an item that falls under closing guidelines of the Open
Meetings Act. The item is a request by one institution to name a building after
an individual.
