Adelphi, Md. (May 10, 2016) -- The
Committee on Finance of the University System of Maryland (USM) Board of
Regents will hold its annual capital budget workshop on Thursday, May 12 to
review and discuss strategic goals and priorities for the system's capital
improvement program.
The meeting will be held in the multi-purpose room of the Christopher
Columbus Center, 701 E. Pratt Street, Baltimore. The board will convene at 8:30
a.m. with a public vote on whether to reconvene in closed session. In closed

2018 USM capital budget.
The public session is scheduled to resume at 10:30 a.m. In addition to
members of the full Board of Regents, the presidents of the system's 12
institutions will participate. The workshop will help prepare the committee for
its meeting on June 9, during which it will consider capital budget
recommendations to present to the full board at its meeting scheduled for June
10. The capital budget workshop is anticipated to last until 3:45 p.m.
The board will then vote publicly on whether to reconvene in a brief closed
session, for further board discussion on the capital budget. The agenda and
