USM Board of Regents Committee on Organization and Compensation Meets May 4

-- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on
Organization and Compensation will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 4. The meeting
will be held in the Board Room, 14th floor of the Saratoga Building at the
University of Maryland, Baltimore. The building is located at 220 North Arch
Street, Baltimore, MD.
In public session, the committee will vote on a
revision to the policy on approval of tenure for presidents and the chancellor,
and a review of service on paid boards for presidents and the chancellor. There
will also be a vote on the State of Maryland Higher Education Institutions
Supplemental 401(a) Matching Trust Plan.
The committee then will vote in public on whether to
reconvene in closed session. In closed session, the committee would discuss issues
specifically exempted in the Open Meetings Act from the requirement for public
consideration. Those issues are an administrative matter related to
a request for proposal (RFP) for a study of presidential compensation and an
update on collective bargaining negotiations.
