USM Board of Regents Committee on Organization and Compensation Meets January 19
Adelphi, Md. (Jan.
15, 2016) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on
Organization and Compensation will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 19. The
meeting will be held in the Board Room, 14th floor of the Saratoga Building at
the University of Maryland, Baltimore. The building is located at 220 North
Arch Street, Baltimore, MD.
In
public session, the committee will discuss a request to modify board guidelines
for presidential searches. The committee also will discuss guidance for review
of board policies and will vote on a review of the board policy on associates
of the Chancellor and presidents.
The
committee then will vote in public on whether to reconvene in closed session.
In closed session, the committee would discuss an issue specifically exempted
in the Open Meetings Act from the requirement for public consideration. Those
items are a MOU for
Salisbury University non-exempt employees; a collective bargaining update
regarding Coalition institutions; mid-year evaluation of USM presidents; review
of employment agreements for athletic personnel at the University of Maryland,
College Park; discussion of a benefit received by the Chancellor to be used in
connection with performance of his duties; and legal advice concerning regent
service on other boards.
