USM Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life Meets September 22
Adelphi, Md. (Sept. 17, 2015) -- The University System Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and
Student Life at its next meeting will vote on a proposed academic program at
the University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) and the creation of an honors
college at Salisbury University.
The meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22 in
Ballroom A (4th Floor) of the West Village Commons at Towson University.
The new academic program at UMCP is a B.S. in information science.
At Salisbury University, the proposed Honors College would house three existing
honors programs--liberal arts, science & pre-professional studies, and
business--that would meet the more diverse needs of the students enrolled in the
existing honors program.
The committee will hear several information items, including a
report on the USM E&E 2.0 Initiative and how USM institutions can improve
analysis of data from academic student service sources to drive student success
initiatives. The full agenda and supporting materials can be accessed here.
Maps and driving directions can be found here.
