USM Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life Meets May 12

Md. (May 8, 2015) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of
Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life at its next meeting will
vote on several new academic programs and approval of the annual progress
report on institutional programs of cultural diversity.
The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12 in the
President's Board Room, 14th floor of the Saratoga Office Building
at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). The building is located at 220
North Arch Street in Baltimore, Md.
The new academic programs are five B.A. degree programs in the music
department at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County; a B.S. in health
sciences at Coppin State University; and an M.S. in learning design and
technology at University of Maryland University College.
The annual progress report on institutional programs of cultural
diversity entails every USM institution and must be submitted by the full board
to the Maryland Higher Education Commission by September 1, 2015.
The committee also will hear several information items, including a
legislative session update and a campus crime report. The full agenda with supporting materials can
