USM Board of Regents to Hold Special Meeting May 6 on Tuition, Mandatory Fees for Fiscal Year 2016
Adelphi, Md. (May 4, 2015) -- The University System of Maryland
(USM) Board of Regents will hold a special public meeting to vote on a proposed
schedule of tuition and mandatory fees for fiscal year (FY) 2016. The board
will meet in public session at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6 in the
Multi-Purpose Room of the Christopher Columbus Center, 701 E. Pratt Street,
Baltimore, MD.
The
board also will vote on the FY 2016 operating budget and the biennial nonexempt
market salary survey report for FY 2017.
Under
the proposed schedule of tuition and mandatory fees for FY 2016, in-state
undergraduate full-time and part-time tuition rates, and summer school rates,
will increase by no more than 5 percent for all institutions except the
University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). UMBC's proposed 7 percent
increase reflects an additional 2 percent to match a mid-academic-year increase
last January implemented by some USM institutions but deferred at UMBC.
Out-of-state
undergraduate full-time rates would increase up to five percent. The agenda and
background materials, including details regarding graduate tuition rates, can
be found here.
Sign language interpreters and/or other
appropriate accommodations for eligible individuals with disabilities will be
provided upon request. Please call 301.445.2756 (voice) or 301.314.7683
(TTY/ITT) to make special arrangements.
The
Columbus Center is home to the Institute of Marine & Environmental
Technology, or IMET. Parking is available in a number of public garages near
the center, all visible from Pratt Street.
