USM Regents Committee on Advancement Meets February 4
Adelphi, Md. (Feb. 3,
2015) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents
Advancement Committee will meet at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4. The
meeting will be held in the Chancellor's Conference Room in the
Elkins Building at the USM headquarters, 3300 Metzerott Road, Adelphi, MD.
The
committee will hear several information items, including a report on
year-to-date fundraising and revised guidelines for the quasi-endowment
program. The committee also will hear a presentation on building endowments,
delivered by University of Virginia Senior Vice President for University
Advancement Robert Sweeney.
The
committee then will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session. In
closed session, the committee would consider an item exempt from public
consideration under the Open Meetings Act. That item is consideration of two naming
requests.
