USM Board of Regents Meets December 12
Adelphi, Md. (Dec. 10, 2014) -- The University System of Maryland
(USM) Board of Regents at its next meeting will vote on several items,
including a policy on the naming of buildings and academic programs, a proposed
renovation and expansion of the Cole Student Activities Building at the
University of Maryland, College Park, and an M.S. in athletic training at
Salisbury University.
The public
meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. Friday, December 12, in The Lobby at the University
System of Maryland at Hagerstown (USMH). The street address is 32 West Washington St., Hagerstown, Md.
The board
also will hear several information items, including summaries of academic and
fiscal updates from several USM athletic departments and the opening fall
enrollment report. The regents also will hear reports from the councils of
university system presidents, faculty, staff and students.
At the end
of the public agenda, the board will vote on whether to reconvene in closed
session to discuss collective bargaining, procurement, information protected by
law from public disclosure, and administrative items that fall under closing
guidelines of the Open Meetings Act. The full agenda, with supporting materials
