USM Board of Regents Committee on Audit Meets Oct. 15
Adelphi, Md. (Oct. 13, 2014) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Audit
will meet at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 15. The meeting will be held in the Chancellor's
Conference Room at the University System of Maryland headquarters, 3300
Metzerott Road, Adelphi, Md.
During
the public session, the committee will receive an update on the Coppin State
University Improvement Initiative and hold discussions on the completed activity
of the state Office of Legislative Audit. The committee also will discuss the
draft of preliminary USM basic financial statements for the fiscal year ending
June 30, 2014.
The
committee then will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session. In closed
session, the committee would discuss issues specifically exempted in the Open
Meetings Act from the requirement for public consideration.
In
closed session, the committee would discuss matters concerning specific
personnel; information technology security/information security activity in
response to a security breach; ongoing legislative audit matters; investigative
matters that could lead to criminal prosecution; and administrative matters.
