USM Board of Regents Committee on Organization and Compensation Meets August 7

Adelphi, Md. (Aug. 5, 2014) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Organization and Compensation will meet at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7. The meeting will be held in the Board Room, 14^th floor of the Saratoga Building at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. The building is located at 220 North Arch Street, Baltimore, MD.

The committee will take a public vote on whether to reconvene in closed session. In closed session, the committee would discuss potential litigation by an employee, an issue specifically exempted in the Open Meetings Act from the requirement for public consideration. The authority to close the session is the exception to the Open Meetings Act permitting a public body to meet in closed session to consult with staff, consultants or other individuals about pending or potential litigation.
