USM Board of Regents Committee on Organization and Compensation Meets March 21
Adelphi, Md. (March 20, 2014) -- The University
System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Organization and
Compensation will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, March 21. The meeting will be
held in the Board Room, 14th floor of the Saratoga Building at the
University of Maryland, Baltimore. The building is located at 220 North Arch
Street, Baltimore, MD.
The
committee will vote in public session on whether to eliminate the standing
committee on Effectiveness and Efficiency and continue the board practice of
integrating actions and policy discussions on Effectiveness and Efficiency
efforts into the agendas of the other standing committees. There will also be a
vote on board Policy VII-10.0, the review of contracts for highly compensated
personnel.
The committee
then will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session. In closed session,
the committee would discuss issues specifically exempted in the Open Meetings
Act from the requirement for public consideration, including pending litigation
by an employee, advice of counsel concerning Open Meetings Act compliance, and a
compensation matter.
