Adelphi, Md. (March
7, 2014) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents
Committee on Education Policy and Student Life at its next meeting will vote on
several academic program proposals and hear a report on retention and
graduation rates of full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate students.
The committee will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11 in
the Chesapeake Ballroom, Salon C of the University of Maryland University
College (UMUC) Inn and Conference Center, 3501 University Blvd. East, Adelphi,
MD.
The academic programs under consideration are a M.S. in
nursing at Frostburg State University and several graduate degree programs at
the University of Maryland, College Park, including a Ph.D. in Teaching and
Learning, Policy and Leadership.
The report on retention and graduation rates measures the

undergraduates. The report measures the six-year graduation rate for the 2007
cohort. The committee also will hear reports on the SAT percentile distribution
of first-time undergraduates, transfer patterns of USM students, and USM
enrollment projections for 2014-2023.
