USM Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life Meets January 14
Adelphi, Md. (Jan.
10, 2014) -- The Committee on Education Policy and Student Life of the
University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will meet in public
session at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14.
The committee will hear several information items at the
meeting, to be held in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Christopher Columbus
Center, 701 E. Pratt Street, Baltimore. The committee also will vote on a proposed
academic program, a M.S. in Law at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
The committee will hear a five-year review
of new academic programs and results of periodic reviews of academic programs.
The committee will also receive an update on campus policies on hazing in
student organizations and a report on intercollegiate athletics.

Upon approval of a vote to meet in closed session, the committee will review recommendations
for Regents' Faculty Awards, honorary degree nominations, and various elements
of the intercollegiate athletics report.
