Chancellor Kirwan Appoints University of Baltimore Presidential Search and Screening Committee
Adelphi, Md. (Nov. 6,
2013) -- William E.
Kirwan, chancellor of the University System of Maryland (USM), today announced
the appointment of the search and screening committee for the president of the
University of Baltimore (UB), one of the university system's 12 institutions.
Robert
L. Bogomolny announced in September that he will step down as president of UB
at the end of the academic year.
The
chair of the search and screening committee is Marie Van Deusen '89, a senior
vice president with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and longtime member of the UB
Foundation Board of Directors.

Kirwan anticipates that the search process will be completed
within six months. The committee's work will conclude with its recommendation
of finalists for consideration by the chancellor and the USM Board of Regents.
The board will make the final selection.

Baltimore and in the city of Baltimore itself," Kirwan said. "I am very pleased
