USM Board of Regents to Hold Annual Retreat
Adelphi, Md. (Oct. 1, 2013) -- The University
System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will hold its annual retreat on Thursday,
October 3 and Friday, October 4 at the Hotel at Arundel Preserve. The hotel is
located at 7795 Arundel Mills Boulevard, Hanover, MD.
The retreat begins with
a public session at 1 p.m. on Thursday, at which the board will discuss issues
affecting financial aid decisions and strategies for using aid to increase
degree completion. The board then will vote on a motion to reconvene in closed
session.
The public session
on Friday will begin at 8:30 a.m. and include a discussion on opportunities
presented in higher education by advances in information technology. The public
session will end with a board vote on whether to reconvene in closed session.
