USM Regents Finance Committee to Hold Capital Budget Workshop May 21
Adelphi, Md. (May 17,
2013) -- The Committee on Finance of the University System of Maryland (USM)
Board of Regents will hold its annual capital budget workshop on Tuesday, May
21 to review and discuss strategic goals and priorities for the system's
capital improvement program.
The meeting will be held in the multi-purpose room of the
Christopher Columbus Center, 710 E. Pratt Street, Baltimore. The meeting will
begin at 9 a.m. with a public vote on whether to reconvene in closed executive
session. The public session is scheduled to resume at 11:50 a.m.
The committee is scheduled to adjourn around noon for a
short lunch break before resuming the public meeting at 1 p.m. In addition to
members of the full Board of Regents, the presidents of the system's 12 institutions
will participate. The workshop will help prepare the finance committee for its
meeting on June 18, during which it will consider capital budget
recommendations to present to the full board at its meeting scheduled for June 21.
The meeting is anticipated to last until 3:30 p.m.
