USM Board of Regents Committees on Finance, Economic Development Meet March 29
Adelphi, Md. (March 27, 2012) -- The University System of Maryland
(USM) Board of Regents Committee on Finance and the Committee on
Economic Development and Technology Commercialization will meet on Thursday,
March 29 at Towson University.
The
Committee on Finance will first meet in executive session at 10 a.m. in the
University Union, Room 304. The public session is scheduled to begin at 11:15
a.m.
The
committee will vote on several items, including a proposal to approve
room and board charges at USM institutions for FY 2013. The committee also will
take action on proposed enrollment projections and the facilities
master plan for the University of Maryland, College Park. It will also vote on
a proposed $5 million increase in spending authorization for the Towson Center

The
Committee on Economic Development and Technology Commercialization will first
meet in executive session at 12:30 p.m. It is then scheduled to convene in
public session at 1:15 p.m. in Room 305 of the University Union. The
committee will discuss several informational items, including strategies for
enhancing private-industry sponsored research. The agenda and supporting
