USM Regents Committee on Education Policy Meets March 28
Adelphi, Md. (March
23, 2012) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee
on Education Policy at its next meeting will vote on new academic program
proposals at several USM institutions: the University of Baltimore; Coppin
State University; Frostburg State University; University of Maryland, Baltimore
County; University of Maryland, College Park; and University of Maryland
University College.
The public meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March
28 on the second floor (Room 210) of the Talon Center at Coppin State
University, 2500 W. North Avenue, Baltimore, MD.
The committee also will vote on proposed changes to USM
policies on faculty sabbatical leave and faculty appointment, rank, and tenure.
In other action, the committee will vote on a proposal to add student
representation from USM regional higher education centers to the official
membership of the USM Student Council.
The committee also will discuss reports on the USM's SAT
profile, retention and graduation rates, and 10-year enrollment projections. After the public meeting, the committee will meet in
executive session.
