USM Board of Regents to Meet February 17
Adelphi, Md. (Feb. 14,
2012) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents at its
next meeting will vote on new academic programs and hear informational
presentations on the USM course redesign initiative and levels of external
funding.
The public session is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.
Friday, February 17 in the Colony Ballroom of the Adele H. Stamp Student Union
at the University of Maryland, College Park.
The new academic programs under consideration are an Ed.D.
in educational leadership at Frostburg State University and an M.A. in global
governance and human security at the University of Baltimore. In other action,
the board will vote on whether to conduct an economic impact study of USM
activity.
The regents will hear reports from the councils of
university system presidents, faculty, staff and students. The full agenda,

After the public meeting, the board will meet in executive session.
