USM Board of Regents Committees on Finance, Economic Development Meet January 26
Adelphi, Md. (Jan.
23, 2012) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committees
on Finance and Economic Development and
Technology Commercialization will meet on Thursday, January 26 on the second
floor of the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) Inn and
Conference Center.
The
Committee on Finance will meet in executive session at 10 a.m. The public
session of the meeting is scheduled to convene at 10:45 a.m. in Rooms
2100/2102/2104. The sole item on the public agenda is a presentation of the
facilities master plan for the University of Maryland, College Park.
The
Committee on Economic Development and Technology Commercialization will meet in
executive session at 12:05 p.m. It is scheduled to begin its public session at
12:45 p.m. in the same location, Rooms 2100/2102/2104.
The
committee will vote on whether to proceed with conducting an economic impact
study for the USM. The committee also will hear an update on STEM workforce production
and discuss licensing strategies for private industry sponsored research.
