Education Policy Committee to Meet March 14 at UMBC
The Committee on Education Policy of the University System of Maryland (USM)
Board of Regents will meet in public session on Wednesday, March 14 at 9 a.m. on
the seventh floor of the Albin O. Kuhn Library at the University of Maryland,
Baltimore County.
The committee will consider several agenda items, including:
- Proposed new programs in dance and theatre leading to dual degrees in
bachelor of arts and bachelor of science at Frostburg State University.
- USM enrollment projections for 2001-2010.
- Proposed USM faculty policy on conduct, discipline, assistance and
education regarding the abuse of drugs and alcohol.
- Modification of USM policy on the common academic calendar, prompted by the
changing nature of course delivery at certain institutions.
- Shared governance accountability plans.
- Follow-up on campus crime report, focusing on alcohol, drug and weapons
violations.
